Supporting children with cancer and their families
The Katie Swaney Foundation (KSF) was created to celebrate the life of Katherine Marie Swaney, who passed away July 9, 1999, after a courageous battle with acute myelogenous leukemia (AML).
Since its inception, KSF has raised over half a million dollars to support children with cancer and their families.
We are dedicated to improving the lives of children battling cancer, offering resources and support for these children and their families through our partnerships with leading medical centers.
We support children with cancer by donating play equipment, weekly music therapy, gift cards, and other hospital-requested items to brighten their time in care.
We partner with Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and Duke Medical Center Pediatric & Cellular Therapy Support Program to aid the physical and emotional needs of the children and their families.
We provide monetary grants for cancer research at our partner hospitals.
